Is there an option I need to set in Opus 13 so thumbnail scaling works how it did in opus 12. i.e Where a rectangular image (a book cover) would be resized to completely fit in the cd cover image and not cropped top and bottom?

Not currently. We decided (usually slight) cropping was preferable to distorting. It'd probably be possible to add an option in the future though.
Great, I don't fancy having to find a whole stack of new images.
