Video file associations reset after install of dOpus9?

Hi all.
I just installed dOpus9 under the trial license. Afterwords, no video formats were associated with Media Player Classic any more but instad with Windows Media Player. I tried to reset them via "open file with" dialogue, to no avail. I then tried to manually do it for a few formats (.avi, .wmv) via MPC"s menus, but the changes don't stick. I am able to set it to other players, such as VLC. Could this be a compatibility issue with MPC? I am sure that the program still functions because it plays just fine when dragging a file from a Lister and dropping it on an open instance of MPC, it just won't act as the default player and open automatically when a video file is double-clicked.

Thanks in advance for help with this issue!

I use MPC with Opus without any problems, everything set to open in MPC.

Opus shouldn't affect your movie filetype settings (unless you tell it to explicitly via the file type editor, of course) but it's possible that it is interpreting the registry settings differently to Explorer.

Do you get what you expect if you open an Explorer window and double-click the files or have things changed in both programs?

nope. IT's as though MPC is not a valid option at all. For instance, I right click on an .avi, select "open with", browse to the MPC executable and select "OK", then it's simply not on the menu, like I hit cancel or some such. Oh well, I"ve just installed KMPlayer and it is working just fine. Hopefully it doesn't lack any of the features or compatibility that mad MPC so great.
