Viewer Pane and Rich Text Files?

I have a few PCs with just the Office 2003 viewers installed: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. (Which really cuts down on licensing $$$, since these PCs are typically used to read documents not author them. I have another PC a desk away with the full Office suite on it.)

Using DOpus and the ActiveX viewer, I can read Word documents just wonderfully. However, I tend to work a lot with Rich Text Files a lot which are a pseudo Office file format (I think). However, the ActiveX viewer doesn't seem to support Rich Text, even though the Word 2003 viewer can read them.

Q: Can the ActiveX plug-in view .rtf files?

Q: Is this a configuration error on my part?

Q: Can any of the other plug-ins handle an .rtf file?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The ActiveX plugin doesn't support RTF at the moment (at least not with the Word Viewers installed, it might work with Word itself, although I can't remember to be honest), but you could probably use the MutliView plugin, and free viewers that come with Yahoo desktop, for this.

I actually did that right after I posted my questions. I just wanted to be sure I hadn't missed anything.

Thanks Nudle!
