Vista Beta 2

Ctitical Mass,
Yes, I can do everything with DOpus in Vista that I can do in XP, I have been using it from just before my previous post.

The only thing it won't do is to into the "prohibited" folders that MS thinks we are so stupid that if we get in them we will cause problems.

It may be possible to get DOpus to get into them but I haven't "investigated" that, I'm too glad just to get DOpus working to start that.

Again, thanks heaps for your solution. Very greatly appreciated I can tell you.

Edit,
I've just confirmed (to make sure) that I can get My Computer and also I can go into any of the partitions.

I just a thought, You installed DOpus 8 then 8 over the top of 8.

I installed V6 then V8 overthe top of 6.

Would that be why my DOpus is working OK ?

[quote="jstarks"]Like others here, I managed to get DO installed on Vista Beta 2 last week. I did this by:

A) Running the install with admin rights
B) Running the install in compatibility mode with winxp sp2

Just in case anyones not sure...(like me at first!) to install in compatiblity mode with WinXp on Vista you right click and go to properties on the exe (installer file)...and then change it under the compatibility setting...

I've dopus 8.2.2.3 on two Vista Ultimate edition machines, no significant issues but have not replaced explorer, just using dopus as an additional file manager, along with space monger as the space and statistics manager
