Weird Tab behavior

So I installed DO to a VM Guest, and imported the settings from my regular DO installation on the Host. In the guest now, whenever I click on a folder tab in DO, it always navigates to the root FTP. I have to always click "Back" to go back to where it was. Same thing happens if I try to drag something onto a tab; the destination tab automatically navigates to FTP, and it happens real fast. The only way to successfully drop something onto the tab is to do the drag/drop at lightning speed, before it has the chance to navigate to FTP.

I've looked through the settings, and tried changing anything I thought might be related to it, but so far no luck, any ideas?

Are the tabs locked or linked? You can find out via the right-click menu on them.

Got any scripts installed?

Double-checked and none are locked/linked. I do have a handful of scripts, but I tried disabling them all and it still happens.

it seems like what it's doing is, no matter which folder the tab is in, it wants to automatically jump to the last item in the tree, which is FTP. Not sure which setting (or even something in a script) that would cause it to do that. Really strange.

Hmmm, Under Folder Tree|Contents, if I check the box that says "Display under the Desktop item" (under the FTP Sites checkbox, which is checked), it stops the behavior, but the entire FTP object disappears. I suppose I can live with that, I usually use a separate FTP client.

What is your tree's Start In folder under Preferences / Folder Tree / Options? Try setting it to Desktop (the default).

Aha! Like magic, that fixed it, thanks Leo. =)

I had it set to "This PC".
