What does the future look like for DOpus?

Hello everyone.
long story short, DOpus 100% changed my life.
It is impossible for me to work without it.
Which leads me to my question:
What does the future look like for DOpus?
Is this program expected to work forever?
will it receive updates and such?
Does the dev team still working on it? they care about it?
Again, I love this software, it is the only irreplaceable software I have, and the biggest productivity boost to my workflow ever made.

It says "Directory Opus developer" next to my name on all my posts, so it's a good bet. :slight_smile:

wow. feels so great to talk to one of the developers of DOpus.
This program have honestly changed my life (as a person who spends 10+ hrs a day in front of a screen).
anyway, can we say that DOpus is likely to exist in the next 10 years?
I spend around 10% of my time tinkering with it. It is scary to think all that accumulated work would one day vanish.
(My apology for the OCD question)

I think it can be helpful to revise code and find bugs/loopholes etc...

In mentioned article, an average life expectancy of human beings is given with 80 years.

However, my own research suggests a maximum realistic life expectancy for the male human being of 115 years.

This should give the Directory Opus developers some time to find new developers for take-over...

I have this consideration for my project as well, which is now reaching 35 years age.

for me, the source of worry is simply feasibility.
DOpus is a very niche product, I'm afraid at some point it might not be worth the effort.
anyway, as the developer Leo said, they are actively working on it and there is no need to worry.
it will continue to exist for the foreseable future.
we should probably spread the word about this program though, and encourage people to learn it.

Dude is literally starstruck with you @Leo . The Dev's around here are friggin' rockstars that are really incredible at all this voodoo magic we could only hope to be a 1/10 as capable as when we all grow up.
Its funny reading this post because I had the exact same kind of moment after sitting down and nerding out on DO for a good week or so. If you go back far enough you'll find me basically saying the same thing :blush:
