I see Quickfilter/Quick Filter mentioned in posts, but after searching this forum and the online manual, I still don't know what or where it is. A search in Preferences yields no results.
I am also mystified by evaluator / evaluator columns also and the online manual seems to have evaluator info in bits and pieces all over.
The reason I am trying to figure this out is that I use Filters (Find > Utility Pane) a lot, but many don't work well and/or take ages to yield results. Right now, I am working with about 60,000 JPG files.
I keep trying to find a reliable way to find photos without an EXIF DateTimeOriginal (I have ExifTool Custom columns installed and it is working). If I use use the filter to look for photos with 'NO Match' to EXIF DateTimeOriginal before today (also tried after 1900-01-01), I get many results that DO have an EXIF DateTimeOriginal and then it stops after finding only 2 of the roughly 5000 photos without an EXIF DateTimeOriginal that I KNOW are in the collection.
If I display the EXIF DateTimeOriginal column and sort by EXIF DateTimeOriginal, I wait and wait and the blue circle keeps spinning...and spinning...I waited an hour earlier this morning and the blue circle was still spinning.
This is not a new problem. I have been frustrated about identifying photos without an EXIF DateTimeOriginal for 2 years.
So, I am wondering if Quick Filters and/or Evaluator might be a solution.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
