okay - it's in Settings/File Types
but I still can't figure out how to do the following:
double click desktop - open default lister
BUT
double click folder on desktop - opens folder in a new single lister
If you mean in Power Mode, they're in Preferences / File Display Modes / Power Mode.
BTW, please think about the subjects of your posts, so that they are useful to other people searching for similar problems (or who might be able to answer your questions). The subject of this and your previous post might as well just be "I have a question."
EDIT: Your more recent reply came in just before I posted this one.
For what you're asking for, you want Preferences / Launching Opus.
Yep, Preferences->Launching Opus->From the Desktop for the first one - but I don't really understand what sort of difference is being suggested between the two actions:
double click desktop - open default lister
...and...
double click folder on desktop - opens folder in a new single lister
...if you mean that opening a folder from the desktop (or elsewhere OUTSIDE of Opus) should open inside of a single "existing" lister instead of launching it's own "new" lister - then maybe you're looking for the Preferences->Launching Opus->Explorer Replacement->Open external folders in a new tab option...
The subject of this and your previous post might as well just be "I have a question."
Now that I know the name of the setting, I'd go back and edit the title if I could. The forum software won't let us edit posts?
Anyway, what I apparently want is the for default lister to be a single boring lister, and for my former default lister, with all the tabs nicely arranged, to be just another saved lister which can be triggered by double clicking the desktop.
I'll work on that for a while. See if it works.
Thanks.
