Where is the option to mix files and folders?

I remember using this in prior versions, but I cannot for the life of me find it in the new version.
I have gone through every item in preferences, and the folder formats dialog and don't see it!
I see these very old posts referring to menus that don't exist!

I appreciate the help.

Same place it used to be: Edit the Folder Format, and look on the Sorting tab.

thanks! when I went to the folder format diaglog, I skipped over the additional tabs!
