I have Auto Update Checks disabled in Prefs. I verified an even hex number for the entry in the prefs.oxc file.
dpupdchk.exe runs anyway when I start my system. If I exit DOpus completely, all other DOpus processes quit except for this one.
Interestingly, if I kill dpupdchk.exe manually in Task Manager, it does not restart when I open DOpus again.
I have DOpus set to run at system start but to not open any listers (I like having the tray icon because my desktop is often covered by app windows). Double-click on desktop to open a lister is disabled.
Vista Business 64
DOPus 9.1.1.6.3276.x64
If the update check process is designed to start on system start regardless of the preferences setting, and then to remain active when all other DOpus processes end, please help me find a way to make it stop doing that. I know it doesn't take up many resources, but I don't want any processes running that aren't immediately required.
Thanks,
-Jeff
