Win10 - shortcuts in taskbar open NOT in Opus. Solution?

I had two shortcuts on my Desktop in Win10 (one to "My Documents", the other to "My MP3") and they opened in Opus when i clicked on them.

Now i have moved them into the taskbar, but when i click on them they always open with Windows Explorer. I tried setting the DO preferences to "open all files", but it didn't seem to work (does this need a restart?).

Is there a workaround / solution to this behavior?

When you say you've moved them into the taskbar, do you mean they're pinned to the Explorer icon in the taskbar? (i.e. they appear in its jump list)? Or did you use some other method?

I think i used a shortcut from a folder and dragged it into the taskbar. For the second one i just used the context menu and choose "pin to taskbar".

Ok, unfortunately the way that system works, they can only be opened by Explorer. Windows doesn't let other applications take over the pinning of folders to the taskbar.

That's a pity. I guess i'll have to take the shortcuts down to the desktop again. Thanks, Jon.
