Windows 7 64bit global hotkey sudden appearance

After doing a save configuration on my old x32 system I installed directory opus on my new computer, a windows 7 x64 system and did a restore configuration.

ctrl V and ctrl c seem to be global hot keys for opus on the new system.

If I double click on a text file in opus to open the file in notepad and then..

If I select text within notepad, ctrl C and then ctrl V I will get a new copy of the text file in the directory in opus even though notepad is in the foreground.
The paste wont affect the text in notepad at all.
This applies to anywhere I cut and paste, into firefox or any other application.

I can't see any global hot key defined but I am not sure I know where to look.

Sounds like you've floated your main Lister menu toolbar. When toolbars are floated, any hotkeys defined in them become global hotkeys.

when I right click on the any part of the various toolbars at the top of directory opus there is a tick beside "lock the toolbars".
Is it still floated? If so, how do I unfloat it?

The other thing, the tray icon does not have the usual items(such as exit) when I right click on it.

Locked means you can't move things; doesn't mean they are or aren't floating.

Go to Settings -> Customize -> Toolbars. Select each of the enabled (ticked) toolbars, one by one, checking if any have Floating Toolbar turned on on the right.

Did you customize or replace your tray menu? (Settings -> Customize -> Context Menus -> Tray Icon)

Under Settings -> Customize -> Context Menus -> Tray Icon it had one of the toolbars there.
when I changed it to default, the problem went away.
On the machine I got the backed up configuration from the tray icon is traymenu.
But anyway, problem solved. thanks.
