Windows + E not Opening the right Lister

Hi,

One of the problems I had in Opus 9, and that I thought I had solved in Opus 10, is cropping up again.
When I press Windows + E, right now it is opening something that is not the default lister. In fact I have no idea what Opus is opening or why.
On pressing Windows + E , it opens a dual lister, as it should. On the right, all the tabs are correct. But on the left, none of the tabs in my default lister are there. Instead, opus is opening some random FTP folder!

I have a favorite layout saved as "My Lister", with all the correct tabs on the left and the right.
I load "My Lister" and overwrite the default lister (Settings / Save as Default Lister).
I press Windows E again. The new lister still shows some @#$% FTP folder on the left, instead of my tabs!!!

Here is my configuration in Settings / Preferences / Launching:

  • Default Lister: first two boxes unchecked, "Default behavior" selected.
  • Explorer Replacement: second option (recommended)
  • From the Desktop: Open a Saved Lister Layout: My Lister / Close Existing Listers
  • From the Taskbar Icon: Open a Saved Lister Layout: My Lister / Close Existing Listers
  • Startup: Launch on Startup, Open a Saved Lister Layout: My Lister

Again, "My Lister" is the same as "default lister", i.e. I have loaded My Lister and gone Settings / Save as Default Lister.

I am stumped as to what is happening.
I must say that getting Opus to open the Lister I want has been consistently frustrating over the years. If Windows + E worked in Opus 9, maybe the wrong folders showed up at startup... and so on.

Could there be a corrupted configuration file somewhere?

Windows + E is a system shortcut to open My Computer. If you want to open the default Lister instead you should use Windows + O (or redefine Windows + E in Opus hotkeys).

Brilliant. Redefined Win + E as "go new".
Thank you, SuperOpusMan!
