WinRAR doesn't open when you double click a RAR file

Windows 8.1, Opus 11.5 X64

When I double click a ZIP file WinRAR opens a dialogue box so that I can view the files in the archive. When I double click a RAR file Opus controls the archive instead of WinRAR. Opus lacks some of the features of WinRAR and I prefer WinRAR to open so that I can control the archive extraction. What option in Opus is controlling my RAR files

Perhaps Leo can explain the performance differences between Opus and WinRAR.
Is there an option to open a dialogue box instead of viewing the files
If I have multiple files in an archive and I want to extract just one file to the archive filename 'extract to filename', will Opus allow me this control as it does in WinRAR

Thanks in-advance for your support

You can turn off Opus's RAR support under Preferences / Zip & Other Archives / Archive and VFS Plugins.

What performance differences? Extraction is done using unrar.dll and compression is done using WinRAR itself, so there shouldn't be any, unless there are new extraction perf improvements in WinRAR.exe that haven't made their way to unrar.dll yet (which happens sometimes, but AFAIK is not the case right now).

Why would you want to? What could the dialog box provide over and above the lister? Chances are you can do whatever you want using the lister. Let's focus on what you want to do, not the type of window you're used to doing it in.

You should be able to do that.
