When you checkmark Preferences > File Display > Mouse > Mouse Wheel + Ctrl to adjust font and thumbnail sizes it only works for Thumbnails, Details and Details + Thumbnails. And why not also for Large Icons, Small Icons, List, Tiles and for the folder tree?
