Change default column header order?

I searched, both in the program and in the forum for this, but can't find it...
Is there a way to have my default lister show my Drive contents with the column headings arranged differently? I would like to have the File name or Folder name appear first, followed by the Modified column. I often use a date sort to find my most recent files quickly, and in a two window view, I can't always "see" my Modified column without scrolling over to it. I tried manually rearranging the columns, then saving that as my default lister, but it doesn't save that column order.
