I had updated Directory Opus to version 11.6 , and the performance decreased very much when compared with version 10.
Every time opening DO11 , a very slow lister pane , it did not respond to inputs or clicks on files, and stuck on every file operation.
It appear to have some compatibility issue with Office 2013 . When first opening DO11 before any office document it appear to perform well. After any office document, DO11 stuck. I already reinstalled both office, DO11 but nothing changed.
Please inform if there is any conflict with Norton 360 as well.
Also the same bahavior occur when I run two instances of DOpus11 . One instance become non responsive.
Note that behavior did not occured with DOpus10...
Also Norton 360 issue an alert message that DOpus 11 is heavy on CPU usage.
The FAQ on high CPU usage may be useful in tracking down the issue. It is almost certainly caused by a third-party component that's been loaded into the Opus process.
when killing office and second instance of dopos11 , the remaining dopus11 become stuck, non responsive , and you need to wait almost 10 seconds:
I saw dopus11 consuming almost 25% of cpu usage.
gbieh.dll is interesting since it seems to be an Internet Explorer plug-in (and presumably shell extension as well, since it's being loaded into Opus and other programs) for home-banking (Banco Brasil).
I'd recommend using ShellExView to try disabling anything related to that, then reboot and see if the problem remains.
(If the problem is still there, I recommend using ShellExView to disable any non-Microsoft, non-Opus extensions, then reboot and see if the problem is still there. If it is then gone, re-enable a few at a time and reboot to narrow it down to a particular component.)
I removed the Banco do Brasil Internet Explorer plugin, that removed gbieh.dll.
I reboot the system and the performance of DOPUS 11 returned ok.
I am working during one week and the performance was ok.
Today I installed again BB plugin and performance DOPUS goes down again.
There is a compatibility issue here.
Curiously, only DOPUS11 heavily suffer this behavior, albeit Office also suffer some performance degradation.
