I just switched from Windows Explorer to Dopus, and encountered a problem while managing files. I used the Del key on the keyboard to delete a file, but I immediately realized I had deleted the wrong one. I pressed Ctrl+Z to undo the action, just like I often do in Explorer. However, the software prompted, 'An error occurred while restoring XX (MyFileName) from deletion: The system cannot find the file specified.(2)' But actually the file is in the Recycle Bin. I’m not sure why this is happening. After testing it several times, the issue keeps occurring, and I hope to get some help.
I am using the default settings.I also tested using the delete button on the interface instead of the shortcut key, as well as the delete option from the right-click menu and the undo option in the Edit tab. The result was exactly the same, with the aforementioned error occurring in each case. I tested it with different files—photos, videos, and audio—and the error occurred 100% of the time. I have no idea why this is happening.
There seems to be a solution here: Win10 undo display error
Leo, that link points to this thread.
Oops, I fixed the link. Thanks!
Thank you, the method in that post is effective. I also conducted repeated tests on this BUG and came to some conclusions. Yesterday I verified it on another desktop computer - a complete reinstall of Windows 10 and a complete reinstall of Opus software, and the error still occurred, I think this may not be a random case, considering that both of my computers They are all running Windows with a Chinese interface. I suspect that Microsoft has modified some registry in different language systems, causing this problem.
At present, my problem has been solved. I suggest everyone who encounters this problem to try the SFC/SCANNOW repair command in CMD. Although I don’t know what the specific repair is, it does work.
