How to change the Directory Opus program icon?

Hi, I'm new to this great filemanager and I like it a lot but I find the program icon really awful to my taste, not so serious.
So, as the program claims to be very customizable, is there any option to change the main icon for another one??? Thanks.

There's not, sorry. But you could create a shortcut to the program and change the icon of that.

I would like to add here - if such 'necromancy' is allow - that the present program icon gives one to think that the program has a notification. For, the little blob (I don't know what it is supposed to represent) looks a bit like a badge. Image (though the effect is more pronounced when the icon is smaller than it appears within the image):

This state of affair introduces gratuitous cognitive load.

15 years and 11 months later. That must be some sort of record. :sweat_smile:

It is possible to change it nowadays. See Taskbar icons

Marvellous, on both fronts! (Do I get a prize?) Thank you for the pointer to those instructions/icons.

Still, on the second front:

  • It's a bit of a hack (but it does work);
  • I still don't know what the little thingy (which persists even in those new icons) is meant to be!
