I must be an idiot - Win+E for DO - RESOLVED

Despite doing IT for a living, I'm not above occasionally being thick. I have checked the reference material and the FAQ here regarding the ability to use Win+E to open DO be default, and no matter what settings I try my pc continues to open the std Explorer window.

In preferences, I have the Launching Opus option set to 'Open the Default Lister'.

In preferences, I have Update Default Lister unchecked as suggested by another screen I encountered.

I have saved a Lister layout as Default and can manually open the correct Default lister.

It seems to me that Win+E ought to be a rather simple option to select - what am I missing ???

TIA

EDIT - should have mentioned pc environment is Win11 Pro.

As in the setting under Preferences / Launching Opus / From the Win + E hotkey? Or one of the other pages?

Make sure Windows doesn't have any compatibility settings turned on for dopus.exe (if it did, clear them and reboot):

Also make sure Opus hasn't been launched so the whole process is elevated, as that'd block it from receiving requests to open a new window:

Yes - I set the option from the Preferences->Launching Opus page. I opened DO using the Start Menu and have not enabled the elevated Admin option. I have confirmed that there are no Compatibility Mode options enabled.

DO opens automatically as expected if I right click on a file and select Open File Location, so DO is certainly the default application for the task - the only issue is the Win+E hotkey, which for better or worse is muscle memory in my daily tasks.

Which Opus version are you using?

Directory Opus 13.14 Build 9215 x64
OS 10.0 (B:26100 P:2 T:1) SP 0.0

I just downloaded and installed this morning.

I should mention that I have not yet purchased the software and it is installed in extended Trial Mode - I registered my email and applied a Certificate to extend the trial.

OK - I told you that I can be thick lol...

I got busy with a few things and didn't have time to immediately reboot my pc. That's like IT 101.

Anyhoo, after rebooting Win+E works exactly as expected.

PEBKAC

Thanks for your time
