Info tip inconsistency

#1

I use DCF files as shortcuts for historical reasons.
I have this info tip setup for .dcf files:
(desc}
On lister1 the info tip shows the path that the DCF file points to as expected.
On lister2 the info tip showed different information filesize and datestamp - I think.
Then on lister 2 this stopped and it shows the path as expected.
Are there any troubleshooting steps I should take if this happens again?

With thanks...

What's in the .dcf file?

Is it always the same .dcf file in the same place?

It happened, I started writing up this post and then it went away.
The DCF files are the same as these which you helped me setup way back when:

A sample is as follows - below.
I cant remember which one it was exactly.
So there is the first thing I will do next time - note the exact shortcut which is misbehaving.
It might have been on a network drive.
This one below is currently not showing any info tip at all.
I also have the {desc} field as a column and I can see the {desc} column populating slowly.
I have made a video for you.
Is there a way to get it to you privately?
Work laptop etc.

Much appreciate your help over so many years!

The description for a .dcf file will be the value of the InfoTip field in the command editor (if you've assigned one), otherwise it should show the command or part of the command. The one you've posted above shows the command for me.

I am expecting the command to show by default.
Am intrigued by what you say - not understanding.
Can I specify an InfoTip label/field in the DCF file?
