Make address bar open some items in new tabs?

(Split from Open Favorite In New Tab.)

Indeed - having options is one of the great things about Opus.

I tried above method for the address bar, but it does not have the "Function" field, only "Args". How can i change it to open everything in a new tab?

I don't think there is a way to make the location field open every path you type into a new tab. (At least not without affecting other forms of navigation.)

Breadcrumbs Configuration lists the things you can use in the field's "Args", but making everything open in a new tab isn't one of them currently.

Oh, i understand the problem. Maybe my agenda was too broad.

Let's try again. I would like to open the drive letters in a new tab. Is it possible? Usually i don't type, just chose one of the letters in the first pop-down menu in the address bar (this menu includes Desktop, This PC, Recycle Bin etc).

Theoretically it should be possible to make these shortcuts act in the same way as the favorites-menu, but i can't reach the menu so i can edit it.

A script could make navigation to any drive root always open a new tab, but it would affect all methods of navigating to them.

If you aren't dead set on using the first > menu in the address bar, then it's really easy to put the drive buttons right next to the location bar (either directly on the toolbar, or within a submenu similar to the > menu). Those can be configured to always open new tabs, or various other things, using the Go command. For example:

Go DRIVEBUTTONS NEWTAB=findexisting

Thx Leo. I embraced your solution and have placed a dedicated drives button that opens a menu with all drives and opens everything in a new tab.

The problems with the labels and My Computer etc, i solved myself. Very useful documentation.
