All the time or only when a key is held down?
Please describe BOTH, thank you.
USEQUALKEYS, KEYARGS and NEWTAB arguments: gpsoft.com.au/help/opus11/in ... ommand.htm
I tried, but i could not find out how to use NEWTAB.
My goal is that when i open the Favorites menu (the star to the left of the address bar) and click on a favorite, it automatically opens in a new tab.
Do you assign the NEWTAB to the whole favorites menu, or single favorites? How to do it? There is no command or argument option when i try to edit this button.
Thanks Jon! It seems i was on the right path here but didn't see it through. It works now.
It is BTW the default behavior in my Firefox since many many years. I prefer to close tabs, instead of opening them manually. But different strokes etc etc.
Luckily it's easy to change
A post was split to a new topic: Make address bar open everything in new tabs?
I wonder how to get Favorites list to respond to Middle Mouse Button.
I have it working on the directory tree, and on folders in a lister, with:
in Preferences: Settings > Preferences: Toolbars / Options
Middle mouse button:
Normal: Go NEWTAB
Alt:
Ctrl: Go NEWTAB OPENINDUAL
Shift: Go NEWTAB TABPOS=1
However, the middle mouse button does not work for the Favorites list.
What setting controls the favorites? My "Favorites locations" button command is:
Favorites SHOWICONS USEQUALKEYS
USEQUALKEYS
makes it so Alt + Click opens the favorite in a new tab (as long as Preferences / Toolbars / Options / Alt-Click to edit Toolbar buttons has not been turned on).
KEYARGS
can be used to assign the same behavior to other qualifiers, i.e Shift or Ctrl.
It isn't currently possible to make the automatically-generated favorites list in a toolbar or menu respond to middle-clicks, but we could probably add that if it's needed.
