"make folders expandable in the file display" - possible by keyboard

I like the new feature in v13 that displays clickable triangles to expand the subfolders in a lister without requiring the tree to be displayed.

Preferences / File Displays / Folder Expansion > "make folders expandable in the file display"

But is it possible to expand a folder using the keyboard? I assume I could use an arrow key to do this but that does not work and I've combed the preferences/settings. It seems possible only by clicking with the mouse.

i've had the same thought, found myself tapping the arrows keys to see it would work. lol, it didnt. i went looking thru the settings for a way to enable this, dont know if dopus as a default yet.

Default hotkeys are Alt + Down to expand and Alt + Up to collapse.

Can be changed under "Settings - Customize Toolbars and Keys... - Keys".

Perfect. I should have thought of this myself. Thank you!

In "keys" settings, enter the command ALT+UP and ALT+DOWN, or search for keywards "expand" and "collapse" and you can configure the command with any keys you want.

Thanks Hardkorn.
