Missing contextmenu regarding reorganize option

Hi, reinstalled Windows 11 Pro + Opus 13.3 a few days ago. I needed the option "Take Ownership" to the Context Menu, as I used to have before reinstalling. This does work as expected in File explorer, but not in Opus. In Opus I only see this option in the context menu available with individual files, but not with folders nor drives. So that's a first for me, as I had this function properly working on all files/folders for years before last reinstall.

I found the topic Tip: Organise and Speed-Up Context Menus and hoped to fix this issue using this tutorial, but the whole Context Menu -- for normal software option is not present, only the Context Menu (UWP) version is available.

So how do I get to reorganize my contextmenu?

Can you tell us where that context menu comes from? Is it something you added yourself via the registry?

Yes, I downloaded the reg-file from Add Take Ownership to Context Menu in Windows 11 | Windows 11 Forum Did step 2 on that page. Works like a charm in File explorer.

Thanks. We should be able to fix this in the future, but it's a little complicated.

In the meantime, you can make it work by deleting or renaming the following value in the registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\TakeOwnership -> AppliesTo

Renaming did not work out good for me. Did not do a thing in Opus, but disabled this function in File Explorer. Just deleting the value worked out fine though, in both Opus and Explorer.

Glad it works now, for whenever I need this function. But still don't understand why/when this went to be an issue, while it worked good in the past, without the need to tamper with the registry...

Possibly the way they've designed the context menu item has changed from when you last installed it.

This will work properly in the next update without having to modify the registry.

Great! Will you also include this as an option in Preferences? Would be handy.
