When I open a folder from an external app (e.g. "Show in folder" from the Chrome downloads tab), it opens in a lister that is not the default. Most of the formatting is correct, but the columns are all really narrow, mostly only 2 characters wide.
How do I make it use the full format of the default lister?
If you set the columns up as per this guide, they should be the same in all situations:
