Currently, scrolling on the tab bar scrolls the file display, and scroll+modifier key combinations are also the same when done in the file display itself.

It could be nice if the tab bar had more of its own functionality. For example:

Scrolling: scroll the file display or scroll the tabs.

If set to scroll the tabs:

  • No mod: scroll the tab bar.
  • Shift mod: move the tab left/right.
  • Ctrl mod: switch left/right to the next tab.
  • Alt mod: Apply "No mod", "Shift mod", or "Ctrl mod" to both file displays at once, e.g. Alt+Shift moves the viewed tab left/right in both file displays.

Else, modifiers act the same as when performed in the file display (current behaviour).
