The Image Viewer on the right shows EXIF data only for JPGs and not raw images

The Image viewer only shows EXIF data for a JPG photo ( eg from my cellphone ) but not for CR2 or RW2 raw photos.
I have attached 2 screen shots.
What am I missing; how do I fix this for my raw photos.

Seems you can't fix this out of the box. The reason could be, that there's just a lot of different Raw formats on the market, where each format may store the Exif in its own way. Maybe you can utilize the well known EXIF TOOL by Phil Harvey to extract the informatons somehow.

And by the way, i can't display any Exif info from my ORF or RW2 files either.

The metadata panel is for editing metadata, not for displaying it. (File display columns and infotips can be used to display it.)

We treat raw formats as read-only, for a few reasons, and that means the metdata panel can’t do much with them.

Got it, thanks for your speedy reply.

I understand, thanks Leo. I wasn't intending to modify the EXIF; just curious about how much I can get out of OPUS for photos.

This add-in lets you display any tag as a file display column. However, it doesn't change the metadata panel.

There is also ExifTool GUI dialog
