Specially the possibility to use a Toolbar as Lauchbar.
(I try the german version so I do not know all english words for DOpus settings)
So I made a Toolbar with "Not Docked", "Auto Hide", "Fixed".
Created a Menu (like Startmenu) and some Button.
Docked it to the upper screen side.
Now I have some questions:
Is it possible to have a delay before the Tollbar unhides ? If I move my mousecursor to the upper side e.g. for closing a maximized window the toolbar drops down to fast. If I could configure a delay (e.g. 1000 ms) it would work better.
Is it possible to show the Trashcan / Paperbasket on the Toolbar with the Contextmenu from explorer (Empty Trashcan, ...) ? Can I move Files from DOpus to the Trashcan-Button to delete them ?
Is it possible to show some status information on the Toolbar (Time, Date, CPU, ...)
I don't think there's a setting for this at the moment. Maybe one could be added.
If you drag the Recycle Bin to a toolbar you'll create a button for it, but dropping files on it doesn't work and clicking it will open the Recycle Bin in an Opus window.
However, you could make a button which runs the Opus Delete RECYCLE command and has the same icon as the Recycle Bin. Dropping files on that button will send them to the recycle bin. You could also make it a Three-Button and set a right-click command which empties the recycle bin using the Delete EMPTYRECYCLE command.
The only thing you're missing is that it won't show a different icon depending on whether the Recycle Bin is empty or not. There isn't a way to do that as far as I know.
Not at the moment. I'd recommend Samurize for that kind of thing. It won't be able to add things into Opus toolbars but you can add all kinds of meters to the Taskbar. You could also make a floating, transparent Samurize window which sits on top of an Opus toolbar so it appears to be part of the same thing.
In Opus at the moment the Status Bar is the only thing you can configure with text meters for various things, but that is more for information about the selected files, disk space, and so on. There's a lot of different things you can show on there (e.g. total play time for selected music/movie files...) but it doesn't include CPU usage or system time at the moment.
In customize mode, simply right click over the 3 button (or any button) and choose COPY. Then in an email or whatever, simply PASTE the contents of the Windows clipboard into it. When the other person gets your email with the button code in it, he should select the button code in the email, then right click and copy it, and then with Opus in customize mode, paste it onto a toolbar.
Hi Axel
thought I'd try those out as I'm running a german Win XP (ohne gute deutsch!)
the Arbeitsplatz one opens in a new lister - IF you want it to open in the current lister/tab you can simply use the command: Go /mycomputer
(english command works)
same with the Papierkorb - that opens in an explorer window - youll find the command under
Go > Recycle bin (Go Trash I think)
