Question
When I open my Advanced Rename dialog it opens with the rename Mode set to
Regular Expressions + Find and Replace
I want the default setting to be
Regular Expressions
How do I change this?
This is a specific instance of a more general enquiry about setting rename dialog defaults

You specify the setting in the menu item/button call with the rename internal command switch
It is amazing how often I type out a question and in the process I answer for myself.
Something about clarifying the question in order to pose it jiggles my brain and….
