Haven't found the related topic, probably worded it wrongly, but is it possible to fully replace the file explorer? For example the file explorer is being opened when I download the files using the web-browser or when I choose the file to upload using various software (including the browsers too).
The Upload/Open/Save dialog isn't replaceable.

Mainly because file explorer is slow as hell especially if we are talking about folders with a lot of files inside (8k+)
Listary is fantastic. Listary
The old version 5 is bit better than the new V6. I've been using it daily for a couple+ years. 5 looks win7 old but is bit more powerful than the new version. They tried to "stream line" by removing function which they havent put back yet.
If I have an open or save dialog listary hover below the box. in any software jumping to the active dopus lister than back to the save box will switch automatically.
And it has great hotkeys options. To activate the box. And move to frequent fold.
You can set up dopus alais's in listary. Listary calls them commands, I've set these common path shortcuts up to match. Listary also has a good FAYT integrated which makes moving round ur system faster.
I couldn't compute without dopus , everything & listary anymore.
addition as much as love listary i actually have it shut off to popping up over dopus. DOs FAYT and system navigation is better than listarys. i use listary for any open\save other dialog outside of DO.
and if a folder i need open or save to is open i jump to DO [with my 1click hotkey], then alt+esc back to the dioalog and the folder changes automatically
