Since I don't use the "hover to select + single click to open" method, the hold down Ctrl to invoke tooltip doesn't work for me. As I don't have a 'selection' target. I would expect in this alternative selection mode, clicking on an object is the replacement to this hover = selection object overlay, so that the tooltips could still work in this mode.
Ideally (for me) all tooltips (including toolbars & buttons) would not work at all. Except when I would hold down the Alt key and all of them would work on mouse hover with no delay.
Even better would be a hotkey that toggles a tooltip mode on/off. So that basic tooltips would show by default, and then holding Shift would show expanded tooltips (Or just hold Alt and Shift at the same time). The user would define what that is. Similar behavior to the Opus right click context menus.
Also the 'File' box on the top left of Opus flashes blue every time I touch the Alt key; when I let go of it.
